    2. De Ferrers and the IBDP Why? Complements other routes AS/A2, BTec, Applied AS/A2, L2. Personalised curriculum. Another pathway. A group of (organised/able) students for whom the IBDP would be ideal. Concerns over the direction of post 16 qualifications. Holistic nature of the DP. University preparation/recognition. A lot was already in place Resources, staffing, CAS. No prescribed direction post 16. Profile of the College. Increased impetus of International Mindedness ethos. Staff new opportunities.

    8. De Ferrers and the IBDP What? The Curriculum 6 subjects + the core 3 subjects at Higher level 4hrs (1-7 points) 3 subjects at Standard level 3 hrs (1-7 points) Theory of Knowledge (TOK) 1 hr (1-3 points) plus Extended Essay (EE) plus Creativity Action Service 3hrs (CAS)

    9. Extended Essay (EE) Choice from all diploma subjects 4000 words Investigate a topic of special interest for university research preparation Supervised by a teacher (2-5 hours) External assessment
