Sin and Death • All are sinners(Romans 3:10-12) As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one” (Romans 3:23) “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, • All are spiritually dead (Ephesians 4:18) They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.

  2. Our Sin Nature • For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, {22} greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance and folly. {23} All these evils come from inside and make a man 'unclean.'" (Mark 7:21-23) • For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit... (Galatians 5:17)

  3. Sinful from birth • Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.(Psalms 51:5) • Even from birth the wicked go astray; from the womb they are wayward and speak lies.(Psalms 58:3)
