  1. About Mrs. Hallman

  2. My Background I was born and raised in Cleveland, Alabama. I attended the University of Montevallo and the University of Alabama where I received my Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees in Psychology. I worked at UAB for three years where I performed neuropsychological testing for brain surgery patients. My next job was working at a computer software development company. There, I worked in Quality Assurance. I spent five years as a software tester, and five years as the manager of the QA department. From there, I decided to return to something I had always loved, education. I went to Samford University and received a second Master’s degree in Education. My first job was teaching second grade at Paine Primary School. After three years teaching second grade, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to combine my two loves, education and technology into the perfect job…. computer teacher. This will be my fourth year teaching computer technology. I look forward to an exciting year!

  3. My Favorite Things My family and I love to travel! We have been to Disney World several times. We have also been to San Diego, California, and our latest adventure was a cruise to Alaska! My favorite foods are Mexican food and anything chocolate. My hobbies include baking. My baking specialty is cakes. Here are some pictures of some of my best cakes. I also enjoy playing the piano, reading, watching Alabama football games, and spending time with my family. We have five pets. We have a small dog named Jack, as well as two gourami fish and two dwarf hamsters.

  5. Nicholas My son Nicholas is 11 years old and is in the 6th grade at HTMS. He loves to play tennis. He also plays the guitar and the piano, and he will be learning how to play the alto saxophone in the middle school band.

  6. Noah My son Noah is 8 years old and he is in the 3rd grade at Paine Intermediate. He likes to play tennis and baseball. He also loves to juggle. He is very good at it!

  7. This Year I look forward to teaching you all about technology and computers this year. We’ll learn the basics about how computers work, and we’ll learn lots of technology skills. In class, you will learn programs such as Scholastic Keys (the kid-friendly version of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel), KidPix, Read-Write-and-Type, as well as learn how to use the internet safely. We’ll also use other technology tools such as drawing slates, and digital cameras. We’ll have a lot of fun as we learn together!
