My Favorite Things • Favorite Color – I love green! I think fresh new spring leaves and the moss on the rocks beside a stream are lovely. • Favorite food – I like spicy salsa and tasty pizza. • Hobbies – I love to sing and travel! My daughter and I perform awesome “car musicals”. I also enjoy reading, camping, bird watching and kayaking. • Favorite Movie – I love National Treasure. I also love all of the classic Disney movies. Mulan is one of my favorites. • Favorite weekend – I love to hang out with my family. My husband and kids are always fun to be with. I also like to cuddle with my dogs and cats.
My Teaching • I am beginning my fifth year teaching at Paine Primary. • I have a Master’s Degree from UAB • I have also taught 4th – 6th grade at J.S. Bruno Montessori Academy. • I am a Montessori certified Infant and Toddler specialist. I spent 8 years teaching toddlers. • My daughter led me to teaching. She was born extremely premature. Everyone said that she “could not” do things. I became her advocate. Later, I realized that I needed to help all children be the best that they can be. • I love teaching and learning new things! I strive to learn something new everyday!
Places I have Visited • China, Japan, Hong Kong • Germany, Belgium, Russia, Sweden, Finland, Estonia • Mexico • Hawaii • Canada • Most of the states – I still need to see Alaska, Maine, and a few of the New England states. • Jamaica and Caribbean Islands • I really want to go to Rome and to see Mayan and Aztec Ruins.
We’ll learn lots of things together! I can’t wait to meet you and begin our journey “Around the World in 180 Days.”
