  3. Before writing and illustrating her first book, she had many different jobs including a waitress, salesperson, daycare provider, teacher, and bus driver! • During this time she drew pictures and wrote • First book was Llama Llama Red Pajama in 2005

  4. Llama Llama Red Pajama was read live on national television on the Today Show. • It set the record for the most readings of a particular book in one day as Jumpstart’s Read for the Record in 2011. • Dewdney’s books address the issues of young children and family relationships. • They are rhyming books that make you want to read more.
