  1. The 7 Elements of Design

  2. Line A continuous mark that might end. The Designer uses Lines to give almost an optical illusion-like appearance. The Designer uses lines to split the different colored panes. The Artist uses lines to get her/his thoughts down in A sketch.

  3. Shape Lines that are closed. Many of the pieces in this room are based on square shapes. The designer bases this graphic design on a star shape. The Designer uses many rectangles to create a intricate dress.

  4. Form A incorporated 3D-object The Designer uses a 3D shape to increase the logo’s depth. The Designer uses cylinders to create a interesting chair. Fashion Designers often use petticoats to create form in their dresses.

  5. Value A change in color shade. The designer uses tones to give the sketch a three-dimensional effect. The Designer uses highlights to make it look as if the flower is illuminated in the middle. The designer uses value to enhance the shoes’ fabric and texture.

  6. Texture The feel or look of surfaces The yellow and brown color imitate a old and wrinkled texture. The smooth texture of the leather couch and smoothed wood give a homey and welcoming feel. The precise shading and value creates the texture of a very smooth and delicate fabric.

  7. Color Variations of hue, value, and intensity. These swatches show the different colors of carpet that can be used to carpet the interior of a room. This logo shows many different colors, all in one word. The changes in color show three different ways the outfit can be portrayed.

  8. Space The illusion of depth The arrangement of the seats make it seem as if the room has more depth and space. This 2D graphic looks as if its three dimensional. The ties in the front create the illusion of depth by suggesting that there is a shirt behind it.

  9. My Preferences I like the interior of this bathroom because gives off a modern feel, while incorporating colors and patterns that I like. I like this graphic design because it incorporates so many colors, and uses such dramatic values, it gives the impression of a illuminated nebula. I love these designs because they are so futuristic and innovative, unlike most modern fashion. I also feel that these types of designs is the next generation of fashion.
