Enhancing Care in Triage Unit: Outcomes and Insights from Woodend Hospital

This document summarizes the key outcomes and metrics from the Triage Unit at Woodend Hospital since its opening in July 2009. With a capacity of 10 beds and a focus on prompt care, the unit has shown significant improvements, including a 52% increase in patients seen by a consultant within 24 hours and a reduction in the average length of stay by 30-50%. Through a detailed review of case notes and assessments, the triage process has increasingly met its objectives, enhancing patient care.
