  1. June 19, 1968 PICTURE Charlayne Hunter FRIENDS Hamilton Holmes went to school with me. Judge Bootle helped me and Hamilton to get into UGA. Althea Hunter is my mother. PROFILE Lives in Athens, Georgia Born on February 27, 1942 in Due West, South Carolina My father is an army chaplain and brothers, Henry and Franklyn were raised by mother and grandmother. University of Georgia, Henry McNeal Turner High School All the way through college at the University of Georgia Journalist for the New York Times Philosophies Roman Catholic. It shouldn’t matter what color you are to be able to go to college to further your education. I think that all of this is just nonsense. Arts & Entertainment I like all kinds of books, but I was more into studying for college, then playing games. Activities & Interests I like to write; it helps me practice journalism. WALL I’m so glad that we go to school together and we got to go to school through all of those trials. Thanks to you and Hamilton H., me and my buddies can go to the school that we want and love- UGA!!
