  4. Preparatory phase • Awareness raising • Promotional materials on local languages • Identifying Champions (building initial partnerships) • Development of skeleton institutions to nationalize the process

  5. Next Phase • Campaign • Monitoring and tracking • Research and Analysis • Operationalization Sequencing of activities is country specific

  6. Campaign • Linkage with other processes (PRSP, NSAI, CCA, National Development Plans) • Utilizing the existing NGO/SC Network • Identification on the key messages • Identification of a target audience • Linking with the Global Campaign

  7. Monitoring and tracking • Localizing targets and indicators • Assessment of the capacity of the National Statistical System (data gaps, data quality) • Identification of layers of dissagregation • Production of the MDG Report

  8. Research and Analysis • Cost and financing studies • Linking with the Global Millennium Project

  9. Operationalization • Align national planning processes with MDGs • Align technical cooperation programme with MDG’s • Developing a sustainable process
