  1. What Should You Be Cleaning in June?

  2. Summer is finally here, and that means it’s time to clean all those parts of your home that you and your Calgary house cleaners can’t get to during the winter months. Going beyond opening windows and letting some fresh air in, there are outdoor elements of your home that you can tackle yourself or ask you Calgary house cleaners to tackle for you! Outside of Windows: The outside of windows can be tricky, especially those windows that are on a second or third story. Ensuring you have a strong, all-natural cleaner is the first step (ask your Calgary house cleaner for a recommendation!) and investing in a hose nozzle that has a powerful spray will make cleaning windows easier.

  3. If you’re seriously committed, getting up on the ladder and wiping down with a natural cleaner, then following up with a dry, soft cloth will leave them streak-free. Patio Furniture: Even if you’ve had your patio furniture out for a few weeks, with the mix of rain and pollen in the air, it’s good to give your patio furniture a good cleaning. If your cushions are removable, you’re in luck — a run through the washer on a heavy-duty load will remove all the dirt and grime that’s built up. If they aren’t removable, then a mixture of warm water with dishwasher soap and a good wipe down every week will keep them looking pristine.

  4. Front Porch: Start by giving the landing and the stairs a good sweep (an easy task your Calgary house cleaner can handle) and if possible, a power wash with the hose to get all the mud that’s built up over the winter. Next, move on to wiping down your front door with a solution of warm water with a small amount of dishwasher soap. Then make sure to wipe down the handrails, and any outdoor trim around windows and the doorframe. Last but not least, go over the outside windows with a natural window cleaning solution for the perfect front porch facelift.
