The ILC implemented Plone as a robust content management system (CMS) designed for storing objects in a web-accessible repository. This system ensures stateful content access and facilitates easy availability for the global community. With its basis in open-source standards and built on the Zope application server, Plone is easy to install and functions effectively out of the box. It supports multi-platform servers and interfaces with both commercial and open-source databases. In production for a year, ILC's Plone system currently holds 450 documents and over 100 user accounts, supported by CIS.
