  2. Build Green • As today’s market moves toward sustainable design and construction and green products, Colorado Design Inc. is prepared to meet those needs. Terrazzo is a versatile option that is in line with green construction. With Terrazzo, there is a flexibility of endless colors and patterns utilizing richly colored marble, granite, glass or other aggregate to create limitless design and color possibilities.

  3. Why Terrazzo? Terrazzo flooring systems were one of the original recycled products available, and today, Terrazzo aggregates, binders and finished Terrazzo flooring systems may contribute to US Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Credits under the LEED Rating System. • Sustainable product • Typically lasting the life of a building • Can be used for art in public projects • Green Product • Recycled materials • Glass or plastic • Inorganic based binders contain zero Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC)

  4. Terrazzo Finishes • Flexibility • Endless colors and patterns • Installed on floors and walls • Utilize richly colored materials • Granite • Glass • Other Aggregate • Natural finish • Low maintenance • Can be polished up to 3000 grit

  5. Installation of Terrazzo • Most important step of a successful Terrazzo job is the preparation. • Moisture testing • Shot blasting and priming concrete
