Welcome to Fifth Grade! Expect progress reports and report cards on designated dates. Parent conferences will be held on November 19-20. Classroom expectations focus on responsibility, respect, and safety. Our curriculum includes Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts, with various engaging activities and projects throughout the year.

Expectations Behavior Expectations Appropriate Behavior We are here to learn. Therefore I will not do anything to keep the teacher from teaching and anyone from learning. By acting this way I am taking charge of my future. • I am Responsible • I am Respectful • I am Safe
Classroom ProceduresRewards/Consequences • Behavior Chart • Table points This system is used to reinforce appropriate behavior. I award table points to table groups who are following instructions and demonstrating appropriate behavior. At the end of the week, the table with the most points is rewarded with a homework pass and or special privileges during the following week. Privileges include things like, lining up first, choosing the fun Friday activity etc….
Homework • Assigned Mon-Thurs • Weekly assignments: Spelling/ Reading Log • Projects will be assigned randomly, (i.e. Social Studies, Math) with advance notice • It is the student’s responsibility to record assignments in their planners. • Work in progress folder • Journal Writing • Challenge Work • Must Do’s/May Do’s
