  5. Look at the pictures and match them with suitable volunteer work. • Repairing a country road. • Teaching street children. • Playing game with children in the countryside.

  6. Vocabulary Volunteer (n): a person who does a job without being paid for it Volunteer (sth) (for / as sth) (v): to offer to do sth without being forced to do it or without getting paid for it

  7. Literacy (n):the ability to read and write. • Remedial (adj) :connected with school students who are slower at learning than others. • First hand (n):the things that have happened to you that influence the way you think and behave.

Parents are too poor to pay school fee for their children Many children in remote areas can’t read & write because they are not sent to school.
