  1. About Dante’s Comedy • There are three parts or canticas: • Inferno • Purgatorio • Paradiso • Each part is composed of 33 cantos (with an additional canto serving as an introduction).

  2. About Dante’s Comedy • Each verse has three lines (or tercets). • Terza rima (“third rhyme”) is used (a three-line stanza using chain rhyme, e.g., A-B-A, B-C-B, etc.).
