Allegretto: A rather fast tempo marking between Allegro and Moderato. cresc.: crescendo; gradually becoming louder Dolce: A directive to a performer to play a certain passage sweetly, softly, with tender emotion. rit. = ritardando A directive to perform a passage with a gradually reduced tempo. Progressively slower. rall. = rallentando A directive to perform a certain passage with a gradual slowing of the tempo. Progressively slower. Dolce: A directive to a performer to play a certain passage sweetly, softly, with tender emotion. Turn: The ‘S’ on it’s side means to perform a turn. This ornament consists of four notes: The note above the main note; The main note; The note below the main note; The main note. rit. = ritardando A directive to perform a passage with a gradually reduced tempo. Progressively slower. a tempo: An directive to return to the previous tempo after a deliberate deviation. dim. = dimenuendo A directive to a performer to smoothly decrease the volum of the specific passage.
