  3. COMMON EXAMPLES: • TV is seen all over the world. • Breakfast is served at 7.30 am. • Computers are used everywhere. • I am appreciated by my friends. • Oranges are exported from Spain. • English is spoken here.

  5. CHOCOLATE CAKE • 4 cups flour • 1 cup cocoa powder • 2 cups sugar • 2 cups milk • 2 tablespoons baking powder • 2 eggs • a pinch of salt

CHOCOLATE CAKE (In the passive voice) • The eggs, sugar and butter are beaten together. • The flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt are added to the egg mixture. • The milk is poured in and all the ingredients are mixed. • It is baked for 45 minutes in a moderate oven.
