TB Screening Results and Treatment Outcomes in a Clinical Setting

This study involved screening 520 patients for TB, resulting in 436 negative, 48 positive, and 36 indeterminate tests. 22 patients were retested, leading to 2 more positive cases. Subsequently, 46 patients were diagnosed with LTBI and 3 with sub-clinical active TB. Treatment was administered to 40 patients, with varied durations based on drug regimens.

Xenopi, no risk factors for TB 40 patients started preventive treatment 6 months H (n=33) 3 months RH (n=5) 2 months RHZ (n=2) 6 patients did not start preventive treatment 3 lost to follow-up 2 patient refusal 1 deferred (multiple co-morbidities)
