Positive Thinking Quotes A 5 Step Guide to Having a Productive Morning May 09, 2019 Mornings are beautiful, especially when we wake up after a deep, blissful sleep. Now it is okay to have some cranky mornings too, but if we are determined to get a happy beginning for our day, we need to make some efforts. Morning is the time when the hustle-bustle of the city is mellow, and the chirpy birds take over the world’s sound system. The weather is pleasant, and the air is fresh. We usually tend to miss this magical time due to our sleep schedule. But if we only attempt to wake up a little early, it will change the entire course of our day. If you’re trying to join the 7 AM club and are looking for a guide, you, my friend, have reached the destination tab of your internet browser. Here we have discussed some tips on how to make your morning fruitful and enjoy every bit of it. If you have not tapped the snooze button on your alarm, you have already won half the race. Now, when you’re awake and ready for the day, you can use the following tips and go step-by-step to include them in your routine. Take baby steps so you can make this your lifestyle, and not just a two-day thing. To begin with, ensure you are well rested and not going on a 4-hour-sleep. Remember, our effort is to make this your lifestyle. Make sure you wake up after being fully rested, i.e. asleep for at least 7 to 8 hours. Here are the five steps to making the most out of our mornings. 1. Freshen Up Make sure the first thing you do after leaving your bed is wash your face with cold water to kick-start your day with a calm mind. Brush your teeth and be done with your usual routine first thing in the morning; this will get rid of all the remaining lethargy in your body and truly wake up. Now, this is also the time when you can pamper yourself since, for the first time, you are not running around trying to get everything done. Scrub your face, apply a pack, basically do everything that you plan on doing but are never able to do for your skin. 2. Hydrate We, being the working generation are running around getting errands done during the entire day, and it gets tough to drink sufficient water and hydrate ourselves. Since we have plenty of time in the morning, we can use it to hydrate ourselves fully. We have already hit summer, and this makes water all the more important. We need to drink wisely as this is the best time for water intake for the body. MER INFORMASJON Dette nettstedet bruker informasjonskapsler fra Google for å levere tjenester og analysere trafikk. 3. Meditate The weather is at its best in the morning, and it's a great time to breathe and relax. One can seriously do some yoga but if you are new to the waking up ritual, start with just closing your eyes and breathing the fresh air. Relax all your muscles and try to hear the sound of your breathing. Use this time to calm your mind down and try not to think. Breathe in, breathe out and appreciate the chirpy sounds that you hear around you. In case you don’t like the chirps, play some tranquil music. 4. Do something you love Since you have some time to spare, you can use some time to do something that you love; this can be reading a book, cooking a good breakfast, cleaning your room, doing some stretches, dancing to your favourite melodies, catching up with friends, responding to the piled up emails, cleaning your desktop – basically anything that you wished to do, but kept waiting for Sundays to do so. Do something that you've always wanted to add to your routine, it will be de-stressing and will end up making your day seem more fulfilled. 5. Read the paper When we say you keep yourself updated about current affairs, we don’t mean tapping on the little screen sitting next to you all day. We mean pick up the paper and read it. If you’re not in the habit of reading, begin with the headlines and slowly try to go through the information. Just push yourself, keep going and give this habit some time. It'll be difficult and tiresome at first, but it'll be worth it. So, these are the five steps to make your mornings productive and having a great day. Remember, even if you don’t end up doing anything the rest of the day, you’ll still be satisfied with having performed so many things before others. You'll need to be super-efficient and disciplined for the above steps. If you're a beginner, picking one and gradually moving forward is the best way to start. I hope this post helps you and wish you all the best.
