  3. Themes Camp Zone Weekly Theme Descriptions Week 1: Wild and Crazy During our transitional week, we will be welcoming back our campers. We will have a Moon Bounce to play on at school and will visit The Jump Zone. Week 6: All Around the World This week we will really test our culinary skills by cooking a variety of foods from all over the world. Who knows, maybe one of us will be the next Top Chef! Week 2: The Great OutdoorsWe will be exploring the outdoors and all it has to offer! The Bug Lady will visit our school and the campers will be taking a trip to The Wetlands Institute, to investigate our beaches and marshland. Week 7: Take Me To Your Leader We will discuss leadership this week and what it means to be a leader. We will create journals of our favorite leaders throughout the years. Our older campers will explore science and the latest innovations at the Liberty Science Museum. Week 3: The Amazing Race This week the focus in house is courage. While in the classroom the children will discuss many ways we can be courageous in our daily lives. Don’t forget we will be closed on Thursday for the holiday! Week 8: It’s a Jungle Out There Did someone say Jungle? Jungle John will be visiting us this week with his reptiles! The children will also be taking a trip to the Cape May Zoo. Week 9: Olympic Week Aptitude is the key this week, which is very fitting since we will be non-stop busy this week. A little miniature golf game and a trip to Citizen’s Bank park to run the bases will certainly test us. Also, our chick hatching project will begin this week. It’s hard work taking care of those chicks! Week 4: Mission Impossible Insight will be the focus this week. The children will get to explore the Delaware Children’s Museum, where they can climb on a 30 foot climbing structure high above their teachers or test how long it takes a command to get from your brain to your muscles! Week 10: Spirit Week We are going to show our spirit this week. Whether it’s for our favorite team, our school, or in the activities we love most in our lives. By the end of the week, we’ll show pride in all we do. Week 5: Be a Hero! (Superhero’s Week) We will get to meet some real local superhero’s this week by visiting the fire and police stations. We’ll also meet some factory workers and learn more about the important role they play within their community when we visit the Herr’s Factory. The snack taste testing is an added bonus! Week 11: Summer Wrap Up The end of the summer is here, and we will be busy celebrating all the fun we had at the End of Summer Sock Hop! We will also close out our trips with a visit to the Animal Welfare Association to visit all the animals that spent the summer visiting us! http://glassboro.chesterbrookacademy.com
