  3. Content • What are agriculture waste we have? • How we manage them? • What are the current activities toward these wastes. • What are the problems faced so far... • Ways forwards…..

  4. Cont’ Do we considering these as waste? • 70 % are plant materials • 20 plastic & shopping cartons • 10 others……

  5. We agriculture we do not consider these as waste.. • Motto:- Maangem bon kaubaim. • Organic waste can be used as organic compost. • Provide subsistence fresh foods • Excess –generate subsistence income.

  6. Agriculture ways of managing… Maangem bon kaubaim • Encourage people to establish home gardening, banana cycle etc…. • Build organic compost pin/pit. • Mulching • Soil investment

  7. Constraints.. • Not enough awareness • Lack of interest • No enough space for planting. • Agriculture is not priority.

  8. Ways forwards… • Establish a working committee combining bodies to fight against waste. • More workshops and training to be conducted at the village level. • Disposing of organic materials to a separate location. • Providing more powerful machineries to grind these waste (organic & non organic). • Agribusiness-sell out organic compost. • Create a policy on waste management.
