The Majestic Bengal Tiger: Characteristics, Habitat, and Conservation

The Bengal tiger, weighing between 260 and 700 lbs, is a striking large cat characterized by its orange coat with black, white, and brown markings. With a lifespan of 8 to 10 years, they primarily inhabit areas in India, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Myanmar, and rely on a diet that includes deer, wild boar, and water buffalo. Unfortunately, they are endangered due to poaching and habitat loss from human activities. To help conserve this magnificent species, we must combat poaching, halt logging to protect their habitat, and enact stronger protective laws.
