  7. Division Judging Committee (DJC) • REQUIREMENTS WHEN ASSEMBLING THE DIVISION JUDGING COMMITTEE: • 1. At least 1/3 of the clubs in the division you serve need to be represented in your DJC. • 2. At least 1/2 of the DJC members must be non-elected/non-appointed Key Club members. • 3. Membership in the DJC is voluntary. LTGs may not coerce people to join.

  8. 4. DJC must have no fewer than 5 members and no more than 12. 5. All interested members must be given equal opportunity in joining the DJC. Encourage members to join the DJC publicly (DCMs, Division Reflectors, etc.). DJC members should be chosen based on character, Key Club contributions, GOLDEN enthusiasm, and timeliness. 6. A judging application and waiver form will be given to all LTGs for use in selecting members of a DJC.

  9. Contest Judging A judge will review each criterion of the contest rubric and give an appropriate score. When all sections have been scored, the judge will total his/her score for each application. Scores will based on a point system broken up into four sections. These sections identify if the application exceeds, meets, is approaching, or is below the rubric standard.

  10. Contest Judging Each contest & each application will be scored by at least3 judges. Records All scoring sheets must be kept safe in case the MR Committee requests them later.

  11. Division Judging Report (DJR) Each contest: the DJ Coordinator &/or LTG will add up the judges’ scores and come up with a total. Then, applications will be ranked by final score (1 for the highest score, continuing from there). Final report: LTG sends to the MR Committee after Division Judging

  12. Division Judging Report and all winning applications are due by February 20, 2014 by 6:00 PM Submit everything on time! Winning applications for Faculty & Kiwanis are required for Hall of Fame judging SUBMISSION: Save the file as D##_DJR_1314 Subject line: D## | Division Judging Report Send to the CNH Contest Archive (cnh.kccontests@gmail.com), CC yourself and Region Advisor Body text: List all attached documents

  13. Logistics Reliable computer access is REQUIRED! Judges must have access to computers All contests are electronic submissions Division Judging can either be live or online Live: each judge MUST have access to a computer to judge Online: judges will be emailed the applications, rubrics, and score sheets for each contest. LTGs may not serve as a judge Judges may not review/score home club applications

  14. Division Submission Date LTG will choose the due date for division-judged contests Judging Date Select a reasonable date after the submission due date. Applications do need to be sorted and prepared for judging. Judging Day Each judge will receive contest rubrics, review all applications, and give each one a score Online judging: send all necessary files & materials to judges and a set return date for result submissions. Remember that final processing (tabulating results, gathering final applications, etc.) and completion of the report to submit to CNH Contest Archive will also require time
