TheShriverCenterInternship  Co-op  Research  Service-Learning • Focuses on applied learning by helping students identify, secure and successfully complete internships, co-ops, research opportunities and service-learning placements. • Falls under the academic affairs umbrella to connect classroom activities with experiential learning.

  8. Cooperative Education (Co-op) • Full-time, always paid • Alternate semesters between work and school • Non-competitive job placement upon graduation • Mostly for science & technology majors TheShriverCenterhttp://shrivercenter.umbc.edu

Pre-Requisites for Internships, Co-ops & Research • Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA (note: Many organizations require a 3.0) • Completion of one semester at UMBC or 30 transfer credits • Approved Resume • Additional requirements for international students depending on visa TheShriverCenterhttp://shrivercenter.umbc.edu
