The National Broadband Mapping Program aims to provide a comprehensive map of existing broadband service across the United States, identifying areas lacking broadband access. The program collects and updates data twice annually, making it accessible online via the Broadband Map. Current developments include a suite of RESTful APIs to enhance search functionality and collaboration with commercial firms. Future steps involve monitoring progress and engaging program contacts for updates. The success of the program relies on ongoing Congressional support for funding and resources.
