India • PO’s have been finished • The exam team will be starting the exam question writing, there will be one exam pilot tested in two states in June 2010 • Program manager has been hired, IRRI • Looking for a partner for the business side
Argentina • Group is developing a proposal to conduct a market analysis • They felt this was the best approach to qualify the numbers
ANSI ISO • Outline review
ICCA CEC • Met in June • 1. Self Study CEUs – refining guidelines for applications • Some concern that companies may be getting to close to “sales presentations” and becoming to internally focused
ICCA CEC • 2. CA CCA manure management specialty area • Approved in 2007 by ICCA Ex. Com. to develop • CA CCA board voted in spring of 2009 to go forward with it • Exam is being developed, Feb. 2010 • Will have specific CEUs but will not increase the total of 40, add another category of 5 minimum • Will be available for other states to adopt once ready
ICCA CEC • 3. Self Reported CEUs • Committee reviewed the issue from the last board meeting • Will be updating the online reporting form • Description of the event – new • Attach the agenda – optional – new • The form already requests the following: • Name, number • CEU amt., category, instructor’s name • Title, date, location of the event
ICCA CEC • Self reporting CEUs: The CEC did not believe that new standards should be developed. They felt updating the reporting form would be sufficient to tighten up the process along with allowing a more flexible auditing time frame for the local boards.
ICCA CEC • Educational Areas Document – released in 2003, will be updating it in time for the October meeting
USDA - NRCS • Verbal commitment to adopt new approach for becoming a TSP • Sign performance criteria or do training, web site • Conservation Activity Plan (CAP) • Comprehensive approach, pilot testing, 16 tech categories, EQIP funded, TSP only • http://techreg.usda.gov/RptActivityPlans.aspx • Organic production certification specialty
October Board meeting • October 19 and 20, in Kansas City (finalizing the hotel contract) • August 19 - deadline to submit proposed agenda items • September 18 – deadline for ICCA office to send meeting materials and agenda to ICCA Board members
