  3. Setting • Find pictures that portray the different settings of the novel. • You will need to explain the pictures and how they relate to the setting of the novel. • You will need at least 3 different images (settings) • You may use up to two slides for this topic.

  4. Characterization 1: • Create a character analysis • Tell me who he is, what is his role in the story, why is he important to the plot?

  5. Characterization 2: • Is your character round, flat, static, or dynamic? • Explain how your character has developed (or not) through out the story.

  6. Characterization 3: • Who are the minor characters in the story and how do they affect your main character? • Also tell me if they are flat, round, static, or dynamic and why.

  7. Plot Summary • You can create a plot map here or place it in bullet points. Either way, you must inform me of the exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. (Your plot summary needs to include the conflict within the novel.)

  8. Recommendation • Why is this novel appropriate to read during our unit theme “choices”? • What lessons did you take away from the novel? • Give both positives and negatives about the novel-with detailed responses. (What did you like? Why? What didn’t you like? Why?)

  9. The Ending • Some of you liked the ending-why? What do you think happened? • Some of you did not like the ending. Why? How could it have ended better? • Write a paragraph either adding a “bonus” what happened after chapter OR a What should have happened to make the book better for the reader.

  10. Your Boxer’s Biography • Who did you research? • When were they alive/a part of the boxing world • What was the beginning of their career like? • How did their career end? • Where are they now OR what did they do after ending their boxing career? • Any other significant details about their life. *This can go on to as many slides as you need. Be sure to include images.
