  3. Work Adjustment • Isolated or out of place • Difficulty following the rules • Boredom or lack of interest • Trouble staying focused

  4. Feelings about Returning to Work • Individual exercise • On post-it note, write your feelings about going back to work - • Positive, excited feelings • Negative, anxious feelings • One feeling per post-it note • Place each post-it note on the appropriate flip chart

Issues to Consider for Reintegration into Workforce • Go slow • Adapt to changes • Co-worker resentment • Staff turnover • New duty or responsibilities • Prior duties not accomplished • Duties accomplished differently • “Deployment/War Stories” • Habits • Don’t fit in or feel valued • Supervisor • Others
