  3. What Classes Will I Have?! • Semester 1 (Generally): - Math 140 (Calculus) 4 credits - EDSGN 100 3 credits - Chem 110 (Possibly Chem 111) 4 credits - Physics 211 (Newtonian Mechanics) 4 credits - First Year Seminar 1 credit (16 Credits)

Eds. – Out of Major classes required by the University - Arts (6 credits) – Music Ensembles, Web Design… - Humanities (6 credits) – Philosophy, CAMs… - Social Sciences (6 credits) – Econ, Women’s studies… - Health and Physical Activity (3 credits) – athletics, nutrition… Arts, Humanities, and Social Science credits may be distributed into a 9, 6, 3 format if the student wishes to explore one category more in depth.

Internships and Co-ops • Meet hundreds of companies at the Fall Career Fair in the Bryce Jordan Center • More opportunities at Engineering Spring Career Fair • Engineering Co-op and Internship Program: Get real-world experience in engineering while getting paid! • Internships: for the summer • Co-ops: semester-long rotations • PSU networking – 1 in 50 US engineers is a PSU grad!
