The Connections • When your “blood” cluster is complete: • Choose one character • Choose three random words from your cluster. • In a few sentences explain how your character might relate to the three random words. (write your sentence on your group’s paper) • Example: Macbeth: “friend” “brother” “heart” “blood” - Because Macbeth is a blood relative and friend of Duncan, his heart tells him it is wrong to murder him.
Group Cluster Requirements • The word “Blood” • 5 words each student connected to “blood” (15-25) • One sentence describing a character using three of the words from the cluster. • Write your name on the back of the group paper.
The Assignment • Choose a second word (night, hand, sleep) and complete the previous exercise on your own adding at least 15 of your own word connections. • If you are tracing a word, choose the word you are tracing. • Due at the end of the hour.
