The Vital Importance of Attending Every Church Service

Attending every church service is crucial for personal spiritual growth, supporting our brethren, and serving as a witness to the world. Scriptures highlight our need for communal worship (Jude 20-21) and the significance of being present for one another (Acts 15:32-36). It reflects our submission to church leadership (Hebrews 13:17), fulfills God’s command not to forsake gathering together (Hebrews 10:24-25), and helps protect us from the temptations of the day (1 Peter 5:8-9).   1. Why Attend Every Church Service? I. We all need it. A. Personally (Jude 20-21). B. Our brethren need us here (Acts 15:32-36). C. The world needs to see it (Matthew 5:14-16). D. Our families need it (Eph. 6:4; Titus 2:5).

  2. Why Attend Every Church Service? II. The Elders Have Set Times. A. We are to submit to the elders (Hebrews 13:17; 1 Peter 5:1-5). B. It is how they “feed” the flock (1 Peter 5:2; Acts 20:28-31).

  3. Why Attend Every Church Service? III. God Commands It. A. We are not to forsake it (Hebrews 10:24-25). B. It is how the body protects and feeds itself (Ephesians 4:11-16).

  4. Why Attend Every Church Service? IV. It is a Dangerous World. A. Temptation is everywhere (1 Peter 5:8-9). B. It is easy to fall (1 Corinthians 10:1-13). C. Churches tend toward apostasy (Acts 20:29; 2 Timothy 4:1-5).
