WIE 2012 Highlights • Promotion for forming new R10 WIE AGs • 8Section WIE,28 Student Branch WE AGs • R10 WIE Support Fund • Received 40 proposals from 29 WIE affinity groups of various Student Branches and 33 activities were selected. • R10 WIE Awards • 2011 IEEE Region 10 WIE Section/Student Branch Affinity Group • 2012 IEEE R10 Volunteer Award • WIE Congress 2012 in Sri Vishnu Engineering College for Women, Hyderabad Section • TENCON2012 WIE Special Track and WIE Best Paper Award

  8. 2012 Expenses * Due to the GW (national holiday week in Japan), the plane fee for WIE In Person Meet became expensive.

  10. 2013 Proposed Projects • Promotion for forming new R10 WIE AGs and improving retention rates • Increase the membership and provide values for members • R10 WIE support Fund • Support 20 R10 WIE AGs of excellent standing (Newsletter) • R10 WIE Awards • Highlight outstanding WIE AGs and WIE volunteer(s) • Support R10 WIE Congress, TENCON2013 WIE Track & R10 HTC 2013

Project 1: Promotion for forming new R10 WIE AGs • Promote new R10 WIE AGs formation to increase the membership • Determine the health of WIE affinity groups in R10 • Show benefits of forming WIE AGs and enhancing networking among women engineers • Precisely Survey for statistics about membership and retention rates in R10 WIE • Target Value: Form 5 Section AGs (out of south Asia) and 30 SB AGs • Completion by the end of 2013

  12. Project 2 - R10 WIE Fund • Give funds to various WIE activities conducted by R10 WIE AGs • Support 30 R10 WIE AGs of excellent standing • Report should be submitted to R10 Newsletter

Project 3 - R10 WIE Awards • Highlight outstanding WIE AGs and Volunteers • Group Awards • 2012 IEEE Region 10 WIE Affinity Group of the Year Award -> Cash Prize: $250 • 2012 IEEE Region 10 WIE Student Branch Affinity Group of the Year Award -> Cash Prize: $250 • Individual Awards • 2012 IEEE R10 WIE GOLD/Professional Volunteer Award • 2012 IEEE R10 WIE Student Volunteer Award

Project 4 – R10 WIE Congress 2013, TENCON2013 WIE Track & R10 HTC 2013 • Co-Organize the following specific/flagship events • R10 WIE Congress 2013 in Hyderabad(in July) • WIE track at TENCON 2013 (in November) • R10 Humanitarian Technology Conference (the end of August) • Promote networking among R10 WIE members
