  1. Eco code Thank you for coming to our Eco Code launch

  2. This is our eco code • We may be small but we can make a big difference. Look after our wonderful world. Save water, recycle and turn off the lights.

  3. Thanks to the hard work of our kind community we have almost reached our silver award that we have been aiming at for a while. The eco awards The awards are a set of levels that you work towards by making your school an Eco friendly environment. The first level is the bronze award. To reach the bronze award your school must complete several Eco tasks. We felt that we had already covered most of the goals to get the bronze level so we moved on to the silver award. The silver award is the next step up and you have to complete more Eco tasks and goals than in the last level. We have nearly completed the criteria for the silver award and we just have a couple more goals to complete before applying for it. Thank you!

  4. The green flag • The green flag is the last goal to make our school Eco friendly and have a good happy environment. To get the green flag we have to show a real commitment to environmental issues. • We hope to get our green flag in about two years

  5. Our next step Our next step is to start fundraising for our small polytunnel which we are going to focus on after the summer holidays. Our plan for the polytunnel is to get a small one this year and if it is working well we might get another one. Our Polytunnel is being bought from Northmavine Development Council.

  6. What we do… We are putting up a sign that says Please keep the gate shut. We collect rainwater for the plants in this blue barrel. This is another sign that says Switch off the lights we have two of these one for the top classroom and one for the bottom classroom.

  7. The eco committee • We meet twice a term. • The pupils chair the meeting and take the minutes. • We create an Action Plan which is displayed at the front door. • We have three community members on our eco committee. • Special thank s to Marina ,Lee and Andrew who have done so much for the school.
