  3. Goals • Increase knowledge base on campus • Community building • Spread ‘green’ thinking on campus • Create office representatives • The Office of Sustainability seeks to create: • Leadership • Reduction (in risk, costs, problems & fines) • Integration

Format • 12 meetings (total of 24 hrs) • Rotating meeting locations • Field trips, movies, workshops, learning sessions • All three campuses • elist • Additional events (open to all of Tufts) • Group formation: activities woven throughout • Website (http://sustainability.tufts.edu) • Background reading • Presentations • Assignments

  6. Anita Robbins Feinstein International Center Recycle paper & cans; use recycled paper All printing set to double-sided Low-energy computer screens Installed light sensors Installed programmable thermostats Established use of filtered tap water (no more bottled water!) 200 Boston Ave.

  7. Anita Robbins Feinstein International Center Staff uses own cups, plates, utensils, etc. Reduced “carbon footprint” by implementing phone & video conferencing Environmentally friendly staff (walk and cycle to work, center owns one bicycle) 200 Boston Ave.

  8. Bottled Water Delivery • Center for Interdisciplinary Studies • Education Department • Institutional Research and Evaluation • Arts & Sciences • Purchasing Tufts spends $129,000 a year on Poland Springs delivery
