3. Problem Detroit’s visual appeal is low , and its bringing down the city. Lack of volunteers in Detroit, to help counter all the blight Lack of awareness of community service events.
4. Why is this a Problem? More volunteers will help clean up Detroit’s look. A cleaner look could increase Detroit’s population. It will make the community come together.

21. Summary from 1st survey Main Reason they don’t volunteer was because of safety concerns and time issues. Group activities, Incentives, and being better informed were ranked high on was to increase volunteerism. Summer and Weekends are the best times to have an community service event. People would rather volunteer with an organization.
22. Summary from 2nd survey Main benefits of community service are; it cleans the city up, and brings community together. About 43% felt unsafe while volunteering. Most people volunteer because its fun, and or to hang out with friends. Volunteering in groups to make volunteering better.
