E-Waste Recycling Effort The electronic waste recycling effort resulted in collection of 3,639 pounds of unused, unwanted electronic equipment including 9 TVs, about 3 dozen monitors, and 10 computers. These materials were removed for recycling by Recycle for Illinois, Inc. at their Peoria area processing facility. Worn out batteries and cell phones were also collected as part of the recycling activities during the week. Approximately 240 lbs. of batteries were dropped off and five cell phones. The batteries were taken to a local recycler and the phones were donated to KC - CASA for conversion for use by their clients.
