  14. AUP Objectives • IT/Internet resources are expensive: Ensure that those resources are used for academic purposes only • Ensure fair use of limited resources: Nobody monopolizes usage of those resources • Protect privacy • Uphold ethics, rules and laws

Alternative Internet access • AUP is not imposed but Thai legislation still applies • Type of connection: ADSL 256K/128K (use telephone line) • Paid service: 450 Baht/month, including modem rental (invoice issued every month, pay in advanced), installation charge: 150 Baht (one time charge) • On-line registration: http://itserv.ait.ac.th/helpdesk/ and click ADSL Registration
