  2. Biography- who is bts? BTS, also known as Bangtan Sonyeondan{which is the south korean name}or Bangtan boys/bulletproof boy scouts, consist of a 7 member boy band group from south korea under the record label BigHit entertainment.Their music is primarily based on kpop,hip hop/pop/R&B.The members are Rm,Jin,Suga,JHope,Jimin,V,Jungkook. They were formed by producer Bang Si Hyuk from Bighit in 2013.The group members produce,compose,and write their own lyrics. • Their music often features references to literature and to an alternative universe storyline. Some of the recurring themes that appear in their albums include mental health,the troubles of school-age youth, and loss. According to member JHope, the name signifies the groups desire”to block out stereotypes,criticism,and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets.”.This extended to their name meaning growing youth bts who is going beyond the realities they are facing and going forward. • BTS has been praised for "speak[ing] honestly about topics they deem important, even in a conservative society". South Korean president Moon Jae-in, in a letter to BTS, recognized their sincerity and inclusion of diversity as key to their success, writing, "Each of the seven members sings in a way that is true to himself and the life he wants to live.Their melody and lyrics transcend regional borders, language, culture, and institutions."Grace Jeong, editor-in-chief of Soompi, has said, "BTS has something to say, and has a great marketing strategy that doesn't alienate non-Korean-speaking fans. • BTS have a impact on youth culture through their music and social messages, previous philanthropic endeavors, and popularity. BTS officially launched their Love Myself campaign, an initiative dedicated to helping "protect and support child and teen victims of domestic and school violence as well as sexual assault around the world,” in partnership with the Korean Committee.

  3. Continued bio:) Members age,stage names,where they were born,roles in the group: Kim Namjoon:Age 24,stage name is RM,born in Sangdo-dong Seoul,South korea on September 12,1994. He is the rapper, and leader in the group. He speaks english fluently and he is very smart. A quote from him:”Teamwork makes the dreamwork.”(IQ- 148) Kim Seokjin:Age 26,stage name is Jin,born in Gwacheon, South Korea, on December 4,1992. He is the sub-vocalist and oldest member of the group. Jin speaks chinese(mandarin) and basic english. He is a very good cook. Min Yoongi:Age 25,stage name is Suga/Agust D,born in Daegu, South Korea on March 9,1993. He is the main rapper of the group and record producer.He loves sleeping,been making music/producing since he was 13,he can play piano. He is very serious/calm and always has fascinating knowledge. Jung Hoseok:Age 25,stage name is JHope,born in Gwanju,South Korea on February 18,1994. He is the rapper,dancer,record producer of the group.He has amazing dancing skills, a quote fans know him by:” I’m your hope,your my hope, I’m JHope.

  4. Continued: Park Jimin-Age 23,stage name is jimin,born in Geumsa-dong Busan,South Korea on October 13,1995. He is the main dancer,lead vocalist of the group. He also has impressive dancing skills. Dance is something that is very important to him. Kim Taehyung- Age 23,stage name is V,born in Daegu,South Korea on December 30,1995. He is the sub-vocals of the group.Being his multi-talented self, he shows the prospect of a bright future. Besides being so skilled, he is also the face of his band, and is easily considered one of the most popular K-pop artists of all time. Jeon Jungkook- Age is 22,stage name is jungkook,born in Mandeok-dong, Busan, South Korea on September 1,1997. He is the main vocalist in the group,youngest member and record producer.Jungkook hobbies include video editing, photography, discovering new music and making covers.

  5. What BTS means to me? Connection to my world:) -BTS holds a special importance in my life. They have helped me in my struggles in life,physically/emotionally. They have inspired me to become a better person in life and to appreciate myself for who I am and to not be changed by society’s rules. Not just because of their music career,but their charismatic and kind,funny personalities, I am determined to face any struggles in life because of them. The lyrics in their songs have a meaningful meaning that I can relate to and it makes me happy to know that they are in this with me and show great loving support to their fans. BTS have inspired the #nonviolentmovement which encourages A.R.M.Y(adorable,representatives,of MC,Youth)(this is what they call their fans),to become better citizens and help out each other in their struggles,do more kind deeds to their countries since bts has fans all around the world.(diversity) You should love yourself more and appreciate yourself,don’t be too hard on yourself.

This song connects to my person(group)because the lyrics in this song such as “It’s alright to not have any dreams,if you have moments where you can feel happiness”, means that you don’t have to have a dream for your future plans if your not ready,so just have delightful moments in your life and enjoy them,most importantly be happy(you matter). The lyrics,”the world has no right to bash you,what’s the law for dreams?”,which means that you don’t have to feel pressured by society to achieve something in life. Just do it at your own pace. Finally the lyrics,”stop running for nothing my friend,all the words that make you who you are is paradise’’,this means that don’t run/tire yourself out or stress yourself for nothing. Don’t work yourself out if the outcome isn’t worth it. Also the things that make you who you are is just fine and it’s something great.
