Padurile. Importanta lor in viata noastra. Pădurea este definită ca fiind „acea suprafaţă de teren acoperită cu vegetaţie forestieră şi cu o întindere mai mare de 0,25 hectare” . La fel ca şi spaţiile verzi, aceste zone sunt deosebit de importante în menţinerea optimă a calităţii vieţii.

  3. Reducerea suprafeţei pădurilor, în general a fondului forestier proprietate publică este interzisă.

  4. Aproape o treime din suprafatauscatuluiesteacoperita de paduri. Padurilecresc in mod natural oriundeestesuficientaapapentru a permitedezvoltareacopacilor, siadapostescmulteplantesianimale. Padurile temperate suntraspanditeintretropicesiregiunilepolare.

  5. Până în anul 1990, pădurile României, prin structură, biodiversitatea speciilor, funcţionalitate, productivitatea superioară şi calitatea lemnului, erau considerate dintre cele mai valoroase păduri din Europa.
