  5. In 2011 we had.. • 11716 filled booth slots • 10742 unfilled booth slots For 2012 we will fully use the booth scheduler for selection and managements of booths! Celebrating 100 years of Girl Scouting.

RULES • The booth scheduler works based on rules added to the system. • Rules are designed to: • Make the system fair to all users • Keep any one troop from getting “all” the slots • Conduct the selection over a span of time to allow volunteers with very busy schedules adequate time to participate. The Booth Scheduler will open on January 4th with the following rules in place: 1/4/12 open 7:00 AM - 1/8/12 close 6:59 AM 2 slots max 1 booth per chain 1/8/12 open 7:00 AM - 1/12/12 close 6:59 AM 3 slots max 1 booth per chain 1/12/12 open 7:00 AM - 1/16/12 close 6:59 AM 4 slots max 2 booth per chain 1/16/12 open 7:00 AM - 1/19/12 close 6:59 AM 6 slots max 4 booth per chain 1/19/12 open 7:00 AM - 3/25/12 close 6:59 AM wide open with no chain restrictions Celebrating 100 years of Girl Scouting.

  9. more consistancy • Troops search by city to find a booth they want • Green means open slots/ blue means all filled up • Current signups list ALL of the troop’s booth sales

  15. cookie booth etiquette contract O my honor, I, _______________________________________________, will follow the rules listed below while working at my troop’s cookie booth. • I will: • Be polite and friendly • Remember that my behavior reflects on all Girl Scouts • Obey the booth sales starting date • Arrive and leave on time • Wear my uniform, vest or sash, or my pins to identify me as a Girl Scout • Not block the entrances to stores • Keep table and area neat • Say THANK YOU to all approached • Remove empty boxes and recycle if possible • I will NOT: • Get in the way of customers • Ask a customer twice to buy cookies • Go into the store while working at the cookie booth • Talk loudly, run around or play while selling at a cookie booth • Eat, drink or chew gum while at the cookie booth • Girl Scout Signature_______________________________ Date: ___________________ • Parent Signature__________________________________ Date: ___________________ • Any girl participating in the Cookie Booth Sale must follow procedures of Volunteer Essentials and have asignedPermission slip (B221) available from your Troop Leader.   16. Flash Point December 19th is way to early to have booths ready! Store managers won’t even talk to me in December! Celebrating 100 years of Girl Scouting.

Let’s change the conversation with the stores! • Approach them with a scheduled based on last year (plus some:) Chances are they are going to offer the same or better! • Talk to them in language they understand- The Booth Sales are OUR 4th quarter! They wouldn’t begin planning Holiday Promotions in November! • Tell them about the new system and the technology we use! • Tell them how BIG this effort is in terms they understand! GSCNC did $17,410,516 in retail sales last year! Celebrating 100 years of Girl Scouting.
