  6. Charity? • Charities use advertising in the same way businesses do…..

  7. Sometimes advertising isn’t about the ££££££ • It’s about changing the way we think…

  8. If we are the media.. • Then we have the power to make changes •  • We can represent the world around us in a million different ways… let’s make them positive…. • You are the next generation…

  9. Advertising Challenge • How can we reverse others perceptions? • Your Enterprise Project… • You are going to change people perceptions of The City of Leicester College • You’ll be making a school prospectus • All of the entries will be judged, and the best Year 9 entry will win.

  10. The City of Leicester College • What are the negatives and the positives about our school? • What media channels do you wish to use? • Facebook? Twitter • Video? • PP Presentation film? • Blogs? • A mixture of all? Did you know that the first MTV video played was 'Video killed the radio star' by the Buggles

Taking control of media…. • Create a media campaign project on how you can change perceptions about TCOLC • During the break, you are to create a plan of what you want to do. • With your plan, create a 200-500 word report on why you think parents should send their children to TCOLC…and why you think other young people should come here.
