This presentation explores the concept of Flexible Transport (FT) and its implementation across various UK counties, including Lincolnshire, Shropshire, and Dumfries and Galloway. Despite the advantages, many smaller schemes face challenges after funding ceases, and there’s often a lack of connectivity with passenger information systems and low commercial uptake. We discuss barriers to FT utilization, the importance of technology in improving service delivery, and case studies from universities, aimed at maximizing service efficiency and integration.
