Background • Quality HRH information is essential • This information must be easy to find, use and share • Access to critical health resources should be equitable • There is a need to create a way for the MOH to share information internally • Current digital library system can not support information needs • Collaboration between MOH and the Capacity Project to create a KM portal

  3. Purpose • Fill the HRH niche • Enable sharing of crucial health information • Support development and review of HRH processes • Equitable access regardless of location • Classified access for sensitive MOH information The proposed portal will integrate information from multiple sources to provide a single, easy way to use and share it.

  4. KM Portal Design • Based on feedback from users (MOH and District) • Use open-source technology for easy integration and cost-effectiveness • Modular and customizable format with room for expanded capabilities • Develop a web portal with: • Integrated search for all included sites • Differentiated access levels to protect sensitive information

  5. Included Sites • MOH Resource Center – as part of this project we will create a digital library system to replace the current system • HRH Global Resource Center – (http://hrhresourcecenter.org) a digital library of HRH resources • HRIS Reports – static versions and dynamic searches based on user access level • HRH Action Framework – (http://www.capacityproject.org/framework/) HRH planning aid • Also link to district websites and include contacts for district personnel
