  1. Display-o-matic UC Berkeley iGEM 2009 Passenger: Mussel Adhesive Protein Mgfp-5 Mgfp-5 + Linkers + Displayers 96-well plate. Mgfp-5: potential bioadhesive for medical or underwater applications Functional Assay: Incubate DH10B cells in Artificial Seawater Via BCA total protein analysis, quantify number of cells adhered to polystyrene cell culture plates. Negative Control: DH10B expressing periplasmic strep tag Results: “Hit” defined as p-value less than 0.02 resulting from one-tailed t-test Displayers Only: 0 hits out of 15 constructs (0%) Displayer + Mgfp5: 0-2 hits out of 14 (0-14%) Displayer + Linker + Mgfp5: 40 hits out of 79 (50%) Mgfp5 + Beta Helix + CPG_L2 Positive control Negative control
