  4. The Process of Creating A Technology Use Plan

  5. Vision Statement • Increase student achievement through technological activities • Prepare students with 21st century skills • Make the school a model for 21st century learning

  6. Goals of Technology Use Plans • Increase student achievement on state-wide assessments • Open availability of Internet access for all students • Provide Professional Development for all interested educators • Add support staff for basic troubleshooting

  7. Needs Assessment Determine the needs in the following areas • Infrastructure • Curriculum Integration • Professional Development • Support Services

  8. Faculty/Staff Development Staff should be: • Prepared for basic troubleshooting issues • Ready to incorporate new technologies with confidence • Assessed periodically

  9. Evaluation/Research of Technology Use Plans How is the effectiveness of new technology rated?

  10. Time line of Technology Use Plans Time line of plan should fit into school's vision and should include measurable goals at various points throughout the indicated time frame.
