  2. Arrival / Departure • Students should not arrive prior to 7:30 • Early arrivals will go to the Gym • Students tardy for Homeroom should report to the office with a parent for a tardy pass • Upon departure bus riders should report to the cafeteria • Bus riders should coordinate with parents to determine the side that they will depart from

  3. Bell Schedule • If you locker gets stuck move to class, you should be the first one there • Locker times are: • At the Warning Bell • Between 1st and 2nd • Between 3rd and 4th • Between 5th and 6th • After 7th • Students going to or from gym may use their locker at any period

  4. Hallways • Use the correct stairwell for the grade • Move on the right side of the hallway • Do not leave trash in the hallway or near your lockers • No one in the hallway first 10 and last 10 minutes of the period for any reason • Must have a hall pass • Hall pass sheets start next week! • No yelling, running, or making loud noises in the hallways.

  5. Lunch • You may only enter through the entrance door. • You may only exit through the exit door. • You must sit at your assigned table. • You may not bring in fast food, or have it brought to you. If you do you will eat in the ISS room. • Keep the noise level down; talk quietly please. • If you are assigned to wipe down the table please do so quickly.

  6. Dress Code • Disruptive attire • Jewelry that could be used as a weapon • Shorts, Skirts, Dresses must come within 4” of the back of the knee • Except for religious purposes hats and head covering are not to be worn inside • Boys must have their shirts tucked in at all times. • Book bags and back packs must be kept in the locker during the school day. This does not apply to laptop cases.

  7. Dress Code Cont’d • Sunglasses, gloves, bandanas, pajama pants, and / or house slippers may not be worn in the building. • Pants may not be oversized. Sagging is not permitted. • Revealing tops, spandex, or clinging garments are not permitted. • Tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, low scoop neck tops, cut-off shirts or shirts that do not come to the waist are not permitted. • Tops must be at least 4” wide on the shoulder.

  8. Cell Phones • Cell phones are to remain turned off and in the student’s locker during the school day. • Cell phones may not be used at any time inside the building. • 1st Offense – phone is confiscated by HMS and may be retrieved by a parent between 2:30 and 3:30 that same day • 2nd Offense – phone is confiscated by HMS and may be retrieved by a parent after 5 days between 2:30 and 3:30 (on the fifth day) • 3rd Offense – phone is confiscated and kept for the remainder of the school year and the student will receive two days of out of school suspension.

  9. Class Tardies • 1st and 2nd Offense – Warning • 3rd Offense – 15 minute detention scheduled with the classroom teacher, or a written assignment by the classroom teacher • 4th Offense – 30 minute detention or written assignment • 5th Offense – 1 day in ISS • 6th Offense or more – Automatically sent to ISS

  10. School Nurse • Students will be served by our school nurse, Nurse Mason, only if they are ill or injured at school. • All medications, both prescription and over-the-counter, are kept in the clinic. Medications will be administered by Nurse Mason only if a fully completed medication form is on file. • Possession of any medications is a severe offense and may result in expulsion.
