Eruption of ancient material On April 26 2013 Some researchers found new proof that material in oceanic lava flows was originally in Earth’s ancient crust. Because of this it supports the theory that much of the Earth’s original crust has been recycled.
More information Archean which is dating from 3.8 to 2.5 billion years ago and it is the source of the oldest exposed rock formations on the planet’s surface.
