  2. Introduction • Source: http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/DyeHard/story?id=3860102&page=1#.TuemEGCgXqs from ABC News • Title: A Solution to the Global Energy Crisis? • Date: Nov. 14, 2007 • Author: Lee Dye • Scientific Experts: Jonathan Liddane & Chris Drake

  3. Overview • Nate Lewis is a highly respected professor of chemistry at the California Institute of Technology. He proposed an idea that could possibly solve the global energy crisis. This proposal consisted of the idea of using a special kind of paint as an amasser of solar electrons resonating from the sun. Once the electrons were accumulated, they would then be converted to a form of usable electrons to create an amassed energy supply.

  4. Analysis • This idea is plausible due to the fact of simplicity of converting from one energy directly into a usable resource. This is a cheap and great way to conserve energy with using solar systems greatest energy source… the sun! This is a great way because more solar energy is subjected to the earth in a single day then the energy we use and create in approximately one years time. We would be able to apply the substance upon cars, houses, or pretty much anything that uses energy. He has created and tested on a smaller scale, and has proven this can work, but the only bump in the road is money and devotion.

  5. Why it didn’t work • This didn’t work because of the time of the invention we were currently experiencing a recession so the source of money was scarce. People started to forget about the idea overtime and shifted more to the use of hydrogen as a energy source then the use of solar energy in this way. People are still coming up with ideas on how to harness the sun’s solar energy
