The QEP is students! Student Focus Groups A major theme that emerged was concern about the effectiveness of the advising process for new students. This theme was mirrored in the comments from the employee “white paper” vote.
The QEP is students! “Brown Paper” Feedback Students need more information about financial aid and transfer courses. Information needs to be consistent (and accurate) across campus. Study skills (ACA) needs to be taken in the first semester.
The QEP is data! In the Fall of 2006 86.5 % of students taking ACA return in the Spring Semester. 60.7 % of students not taking ACA return in the Spring semester
The QEP is data! Retention rates for GOT and AA Transfer students compared to the college retention rate for the year. GOT and AA Transfer accounted for about half of ACA enrollments.
The QEP is data! • Percentage rate of new students enrolled in GOT and AA Transfer comparing 2006-2007 and 2007-2008. • Both curriculums required ACA.
ACA Advisement Project Fall 2007 Average Scores between sections range from 58 – 92.2 Average score all sections 77.35 ACA Advisement Project Fall 2008 Average Scores between sections range from 69.7 – 97.8 Average score all sections 87.44 The QEP is data!
The QEP is data! March 2008 CCSSE Student Effort was below Consortium and Cohort scores. Item: Worked on a paper or project that required integrating ideas or information from various sources.
