  2. Definition of borderline personality disorder A condition which people have a patterns of unstable emotions which they have feelings toward them selves.
  3. Signs and Symptoms Uncertainty about there identity. Fear of being abandoned Feelings of emptiness and boredom Frequent displays of inappropriate anger Impulsiveness with money, substance abuse, sexual relationships, binge eating, or shoplifting Intolerance of being alone Repeated crises and acts of self-injury, such as wrist cutting or overdosing

Effects on Lifestyle BPD ( borderline personality disorder ) have an major impact on relationships.People with BPD have lots of arguments and conflict with loved ones, or a lot of relationships that break up repeatedly. Work is another major that BPD impacts. Unfortunately, BPD can interfere with success at work or school. Because BPD has such an impact on relationships, people with BPD may find themselves in trouble with co-workers, bosses, teachers , and or other authority figures..
  5. Treatment Options Many types of individual talk (therapy), such as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), can successfully treat BPD. In addition, group therapy can help change self-destructive behaviors. In some cases, medications can help level mood swings and treat depression or other disorders that may occur with this condition.
